SOMPO to sponsor CIMB Classic 2018 (PGA Tour) Golf Tournament

(SOMPO), is the holding company for its South Asian entities is pleased to announce its sponsorship of Malaysia’s premier golf tournament, the CIMB Classic 2018, for the third year in a row as CIMB celebrates its ninth edition with the sole PGA TOUR-sanctioned tournament in South East Asia. Partnering CIMB in this world class golf event serves to elevate our global presence in this region. This is further strengthened by SOMPO’s current bancassurance partnership with CIMB Group to distribute our non-life insurance products to their wide network of customers.

1. About the CIMB Classic

This tournament has been held since 2010 by the CIMB Group, one of ASEAN’s largest banking groups, as the title sponsor. Since 2013-2014, it is the PGA TOUR’s only official FedExCup event in South East Asia. Every year, many top-class professional golfers from all over the world participate in the tournament and play an exciting game.
