Sompo Insurance Welcomes New Challenging Phase With CEO, Chayanna Siripirom

Thailand - (20 June 2019) - Sompo Insurance (Thailand), based in Bangkok, today hosted a media briefing to welcome a new phase of Sompo Holdings Asia’s regional expansion plan following the recent appointment of Regional Chief Executive Officer, Daniel Neo, and Sompo Thailand’s Chief Executive Officer, Chayanna Siripirom, appointed on April 1 2019 and January 8 2019, respectively.  

This new era of management for Sompo Holdings Asia both regionally and locally, is backed by the CEOs’ extensive experience in the in the insurance industry lead by Regional CEO, Daniel Neo’s 20 years’ worth of senior level management expertise. For over two decades of her career, Sompo Thailand’s CEO, Chayanna Siripirom, has accumulated a solid corporate background in both life and P&C insurance in addition to experiences in academic research and business consulting.

“This is a new exciting, yet challenging phase for Sompo Thailand as we face long term challenges like the potential economic slowdown, taxation uncertainty and political climates that have some effects on foreign investments” Chayanna said “We have to be more innovative to expand to unconventional products and services in order to adapt and overcome these obstacles by keeping up with social, economic and political trends as well as staying relevant to maintain market share.”

Sompo Thailand is currently working towards its goal to enhance the full potential that exists within the company, for the primary benefit of the clients with several initiatives including enhancing its focus on retail, innovating existing services and human resource development.

“Our main focus for 2019 is to introduce ourselves to the Thai retail market through our Travel Insurance, GO JAPAN, which has several special services ranging from medical translator to cashless out patient. In addition we will also focus on our online platform with the main objective to attract netizen and in turn enhance user experience” revealed Chayanna. “In addition Sompo Thailand strives to continue to elevate customer experience through our initiative to develop valuable human resources that are at the core of our services by enforcing a high performing culture”.
